Cheat Sheet: The Easy Way to Clean your False Eyelashes

To be honest, I usually throw away my fake eyelashes (let's call it falsies on this post ;)) just because I'm too lazy to clean it off. Plus everytime I do, I end up uh, accidentally tearing it off. #lol

I found this easier and "less destructive" way to clean the falsies, because I only have one pair (the ones I usually use) left. And I didn't want to go and buy another box just because it's inconvenient. So I have no choice but to clean it.

I'm not sure if there's a faster and easier way to clean falsies, but this is what I did that actually saved me time and a ton of money. #hurhur

Products used:

  • Fake eyelashes
  • DiorShow New Look Mascara
  • Maybelline HyperSharp Penliner (Black)
  • Duo Eyelash Adhesive (White/Clear)

Products you will need:

  • Cotton Pads
  • Johnson&Johnson's Aloe Vera Baby Oil*
  • Water
  • Tissue Paper

*Oil or an oil based makeup remover should be used. Cleansing water does not work (I've tried it before. Lol.)

(1) Well, technically, number 1 is not a step. Lol. I wanted to show how much gunk (a.k.a mascara, eyeliner and eyelash glue) are on the falsies.
(2) Wet half of the cotton pad with baby oil or an oil-based eye makeup remover.

(3) Place falsies on the soaked side.

(4) Fold it in half and press it down. Wait for a couple of minutes. While waiting, I usually remove the rest of my makeup.

(5) Now that the product has been broken down by the oil, it can be easily cleaned with the same cotton pad or a cleaner one. Spray or rinse it with water to remove the excess oil left on the falsies.

(6) Dry it with tissue paper, and......

DONE!!!!

Hope this helps.

Till then.
