So I guess the title is pretty vague.
Or vulgar. #lol
Thing is, I knew what I wanted to do. I just couldn't come up with a suitable title. #TrueStory
I was inspired by these gorgeous ladies:
Rita Ora on the cover of Clash Magazine. I was inspired by the "feel" of this cover.
(pic is a screenshot of one of her Instagram pics; specifically taken at 10:18pm, as you can see here. Lol.)
Taylor Swift on an issue of Vogue Magazine. The makeup was mainly inspired by this look.
(pic is a screenshot from Google; specifically taken at 10:17pm. #hurhur)
This was what I created based off of the two above pics:
Close up of the eye-makeup:
Awkward hand positioning. #lulz
Possibly wiping a tear from my cheek.
Here are the products used and a tutorial in case you want to recreate this look:
Products used:
Base/Blush:

- MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC35)
- Makup Forever HD Elixir*
- MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NC35)
- MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter (Forecast)

- Makeup Forever HD Microfinish Loose Powder
- theBalm Bahama Mama
- theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer
- NYX Powder Blush (Pinched)
- Missha The Style Smudge-Proof Wood Brow (Dark Brown)
*I mixed this with my foundation for a more "natural", "skin-like" makeup.
Eye:
- MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter (Forecast)
- theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette (Matt Patel)
- theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette (Matt Gallagher)
- theBalm Meet Matt(e) Palette (Matt Smith)
- theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer
- Bourjois Clubbing Contour Waterproof Eyeliner (Ultra Black)
- Missha M Absolute Black Mascara (Great Volume)
Lips:
- MAC Matte Lipstick (Kinda Sexy)
- MAC Lustre Lipstick (Free As A Butterfly; from the Cinderella Collection)
Tutorial:
(1) After base, prime the eyelids (I used MAC's Prep+Prime).
(2) Dip into Matt Patel with a blending brush (I used MAC's 217). Apply onto eyelid; stopping at the crease and as you reach the outer corners, sweep up towards the tail of the eyebrow (focus on getting more product on the outer corners).
(3) Wipe the blending brush with a clean tissue paper. Tap into Matt Gallagher. Sweep onto eyelid; stopping at the crease.
(4) Wipe the blending brush with a clean tissue paper, tap into Matt Smith. Apply on the brow bone.
(5) Using the end of a flat, stiff eyeshadow brush, dip into Matt Patel. Apply this at the outer corner of the lower eyelid.
(6) Clean the brush, dip into Matt Gallagher, and apply this on the centre of the lower eyelid.
(7) Using the same eyeshadow brush, dip into Mary-Lou Manizer, apply on the inner corners.
(8) Tightline with the black eye pencil. Curl lashes and apply mascara.
Blush/Contour/Highlight:
I applied the blush, contoured and highlight like Taylor on Vogue Magazine.
Lips:
I used a lip brush to apply MAC's Kinda Sexy first. Free As A Butterfly goes on top, and at the centre of the lips.
AND DONE!!!!
This is the wearable take on this look:
I pretty much used the same method and there's definitely a lot less highlight. Lol.
I chose a brighter lip colour because I did not want to look "too washed out".
Hope this helps.

Till then.
