Wearable Wednesday: Cinderella Inspired Makeup

To be honest, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for the next few WW and FF posts. And when I watched Kandee Johnson's makeup tutorial: Everyday Disney Princess Cinderella Makeup on YouTube, it gave me an idea to do the same! (or kinda, lol).

These few WW and FF posts are going to be on Disney Princesses and Disney Villians Inspired Makeup.

Note: Inspired; means it won't be an exact replica. I will take a few notes on a few pictures (which will be shown on every blog post), and that in turn, will generate a look based on my perception.

FYI, Kandee Johnson does a good job at transforming herself into different characters/people (She transformed into Angelina Jolie one time and it was AWESOME!!).

So without further ado, these are the pictures that inspired me:

(All pictures were screenshots from my IPhone)

Yes, this screenshot was taken from the Cinderella movie from YouTube.

Sometimes I like to watch it.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with that right??? It brought me back some nostalgic memories!! And it taught me great life lessons to, ok??? #lol

And this was what I came up with:

Products used:

Base/Blush:

  • Missha Radiance Pore Primer
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC40)*
  • Revlon Colorstay Makeup (Warm Golden)*
  • MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NC35)
  • Makeup Forever HD Microfinish Loose Powder
  • MAC Studio Fix Powder (NC15)**
  • Missha The Style Smudge-Proof Wood Brow (Dark Brown)
  • theBalm Bahama Mama'
  • theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer'
  • Milani Powder Mosaics Blush (#01 Sweet Cheeks)
*I mixed these two because the Revlon foundation is too light for me.

**Optional. At the last minute, I thought of making the base look lighter; like Cinderella's skin. So I applied a much lighter powder (MAC's NC15) on top of the Microfinish Powder.

'Optional. I contoured and highlighted to look more like Cinderella (or at least how I imagined her to be in real life).

Eye:

  • MAC's Paint Pot (Painterly)
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (Limit)
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (Nooner)
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (Burnout)
  • Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (Strange)
  • Maybelline Hypersharp Liner (Black)
  • Borjouis Contour Clubbing Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner (Ultra Black)
  • False eyelashes*
  • Apex Beauté Power Volume-Up Mascara
*Optional

Lips:

  • Missha Wrinkle-Free Smoothing Lipstick Primer*
  • MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil (Bittersweet)
  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (Istanbul)
*Optional. I just like using this before applying any lip product (for now. Lol).

Tutorial:

(1) Prime the eyes with MAC's Paint Pot. Using a flat stiff eyeshadow brush, apply Limit on the eyelids; stopping at the crease.

(2) Using a smudge brush, apply Nooner slightly above the crease (this will give an illusion of bigger and deeper set eyes). Start with the outer corner and blend inwards in windshield wiping motion.

(3) Wipe the same eyeshadow brush used earlier on a clean tissue paper. Tap onto Burnout and apply onto the centre of the eyelids (this will make the eyes seem brighter and rounder).

(4) Apply Strange with a blending brush on the brow bone and the inner corners (for the inner corners, I mixed Strange with Limit because I didn't want my inner corners to be a lot brighter  than the rest of the eye makeup).

(5) Draw an eyeliner with the liquid pen liner. It should be thinner in the inner corners and thicker as it gets to the centre and outer corners of the eyelid (this will make my eyes look rounder and bigger like hers).

Draw on the outer corners of the lower eyelids with the same eyeliner (like Cinderella at uh, home. #lol)Smudge the penliner or a black matte eyeshadow on the centre of the lower eyelids (like Cinderella at the ball #haha).

Tightline with the black pencil eyeliner. Put on false eyelashes, curl them and apply mascara.

Lips:

  • I primed my lips with Missha's Lipstick Primer first.
  • To match Cinderella's lip color (I used the first picture as reference), I lined and filled in my lips with a hint of MAC's Bittersweet. Then I went with NYX's Lip Cream in Istanbul on top.

AND DONE!!!

YAYYYYYY!!!!

#lol

Feel free to drop any comments. I'd love to hear from you.

Till then.
